Contact the Accountant who prepared the SMSF Accounting work and check if he/she has received a similar request from the Bankruptcy Trustee, if he/she has not then ask the Bankruptcy Trustee to request all docs from the members’ SMSF Accountant.
Superannuation is not classified as an asset for bankruptcy, so the Bankruptcy Trustee will not be able to access money from the super fund to pay the debts related to the member who has become bankrupt.
